Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an review of reports of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles in total, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
