The rising star has impressive online presence
The young golfer will have numerous well-known cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and often competes against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."
"He basically suggested to play and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has played in only three events recently and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
However she can receive tips from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He told me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in the sport at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that her participation brings golf to different demographics, especially with younger fans.
Kai boasts millions of followers and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness label.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
